What are the benefits to the IMG's Annual Maintenance Support?

to unlimited email, phone, technical and (basic) programming support through IMG's Customer Service Help Desk.

Why is Annual Maintenance important?
Any purchase of a software license is an investment in the technology, and technology constantly moves forward. To insure your investment against external changes that require software changes, the Annual Maintenance arrangement provides peace of mind and ensures that you have a solution readily available if upgrading systems, moving to new systems, or maintaining your processes and procedures. When integrating or configuring IMG software, personnel time can be greatly reduced by using this resource. Because IMG produces high-quality, fully tested solutions, the annual maintenance structure allows IMG to allocate resources based on customer needs and build technology road-maps for our customers. When integrated into applications and business systems, the long-term cost of this maintenance is negligible compared to the investment in creating these systems.
What is not included in the Maintenance Agreement.
Payment of maintenance fees, whether ongoing or back support, does not entitle the user to received new product platform modules, nor to any current or future version of software marketed and sold under a trade name other than that of the product purchased by the user. These additional items may still be purchased separately, or covered under an IMG Technology License.
What are the terms of the Maintenance Agreement?
IMG Software users have the option of renewing the Annual Software Maintenance Agreement at the end of the first year and each year thereafter. The user must renew the annual Software Maintenance Agreement each year in order to receive software updates, software upgrades, end-user and programming support, product discounts, and access to new platform support.
Renewal of Maintenance Agreement.
Unless any provision of the Agreement is changed prior to renewal, the Agreement will automatically renew, unless terminated in writing, within 30 days after annual renewal term and payment will be due within 30 days of invoice. A renewal notice for fees to renew this Agreement is provided to the user no later than thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of the then-current term. Notice will be in the form of an Invoice for renewal fees, sent to the user (or designee) no later than thirty (30) days prior to expiration. Unless otherwise agreed to by both Parties, if a company does not renew their participation, but later decides to do so, they must repay for the skipped years in order to return and receive the full benefits. Depending on the type of license, IMG does offer "catch-up" options - please contact IMG for more details.
Payment of Maintenance Fee's
Base prices are 15% for a single year or 12% per year with a minimum 3 year commitment, based on the License Value of the purchased Software License or Technology Transfer. Other options and arrangements are available. Due annually Net 30 from Invoice date.
